What is your purpose? Are you living out God’s purpose and plans for you? How do you know?

I read an article that poses this question and answers it well. We know what our purpose in life is and we know what everyone’s purpose in life is:

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:36

Our purpose is to give glory to God. We don’t have to worry if we’re on the right path, doing exactly what God calls us to do wondering if minister, accountant, teacher, salesperson, drivers ed instructor, business owner, student or retired are the right things for us. As long we give glory to God in all that we do, we are on the right path.

We don’t have to worry if we’re “doing” Lent right – giving up, adding, praying, fasting, giving. As long as we follow Jesus to the cross knowing it’s all for God’s glory, we’ve got it.

Glory – what does that mean? To give honor, respect, awe, thanksgiving, worth, worship and praise. We know that whatever we do, we can’t and don’t do it all on our own.

So whatever we do, may we do it with honor and praise for God our creator.

We’ll be looking for you tomorrow at 9:00 and 10:30 am as bring God glory through our worship,

Grace be with you,
