Epiphany!

Epiphany! Have you had one? It’s an illuminating discovery or realization. Also known as an “Aha moment”. When you figure out what you’re meant to do or suddenly come up with an idea or understanding. It’s a cool thing.

We can’t make an epiphany happen or will that aha moment to occur. But we can put in time with God and open our hearts and minds to what God might have to say.

The Epiphany of the Lord is a feast day on the Christian calendar that celebrates the revelation of God as a human being in Jesus Christ. It is observed on January 6. This day is often associated with the visitation of the kings and their bringing of gifts to the Christ child. It is also connected to the baptism of Jesus and the first miracle of turning water into wine.

The experience of the Magi reminds us that all who make the tedious journey to the truth will finally encounter it and be changed in the process. They can never go back to a “business as usual” way of life. When we meet Christ and see who he really is, we will never be the same – and only then can we hope to begin to share in his mission. ~ Thomas Rosica

May we be open to the Good News that God is with us. May we follow this Jesus who has come to change us and the world. May we be open to epiphany

We’ll be looking for you tomorrow at 9:00 or 10:30 – hopefully in person, but via streaming if necessary. We'll remember Jesus' baptism. We'll hear hear stories from our friends who went to the Holy Land last November.

Grace be with you,

Vikki
