Eager Anticipation

On the night before Christmas, every child is filled with eager anticipation of the surprises that await them on Christmas morning. Families eagerly anticipate time spent together. The Wise Men waited with great anticipation over the event of that Holy Night. I’m sure that Mary’s anticipation around the birth was filled with many emotions. One of my favorite Christmas songs is Mary, Did You Know? (lyrics below)

The wonder of Christmas, the excitement of the Christ Child’s birth, and the anticipation of the future that Jesus will bring us is beyond imagination, and yet is the biggest reminder of His gracious love for each of us. Enjoy every moment of the anticipation of Christ’s birth, not only through Christmas time, but throughout each and every day. Let the hope remind you through each passing day, that there is so much more to come!

Mary, Did You Know?
Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your Baby Boy has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.

Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy will calm the storm with His hand?
Did you know that your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little Baby you kissed the face of God?

Mary did you know?

The blind will see. The deaf will hear. The dead will live again.
The lame will leap. The dumb will speak the praises of The Lamb.

Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your Baby Boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
The sleeping Child you're holding is the Great, I Am.
