Do You Trust Him?

Anxiety can’t control my life when I live in God’s perfect love.

Do you believe this statement?       Do you REALLY believe this?

I often find it difficult to let go of my worries and fears. I somehow doubt that I am totally alone in this. Fear/Anxiety/Worry are mentioned 365 times in the Bible. That would be one for every day of the year if we looked for them.

In Philippians 4:6 we are told “Don’t worry about anything, instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done.” It goes on to say that we will experience God’s peace which will guard our hearts and minds.

Sounds easy! Then why do the worries return? We must have a personal relationship with God, not just know who He is. We must have an infinite trust in our Holy, all powerful, all knowing, always present provider who showers us with His grace and mercy.

Much of how I live my life is determined by my thoughts. I must take captive the thoughts of worry and fear and give them to God...and be alert to not let the ‘if only’ and the ‘what if’s’ creep back in.

God asks, “Do you trust me?”

I must be in daily prayer and His Word.

“For I know the plans I have for  you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11.

God’s Eternal Plan!
