Broken Dreams Rising

Dear Musicians,

What is the worst thing that could happen to a composer? To become deaf would be one of the worst for sure. The last twelve years of Ludwig von Beethoven’s life he was deaf. Think of the pain and agony. And yet, in these last twelve years, Beethoven composed four of his greatest five symphonies. You see, he allowed the broken dreams associated  with being deaf to become the foundation of new resurrected dreams.

In this Holy Week where has Good Friday's sting killed dreams you once had? Are you ready for Easter Dreams that offer fresh life and redemption!  May this truth dance in times we gather this week.

Holy week Schedule:

Maundy Thursday

Third Thursday Service at Open Door Youth Gang Alternatives at Wyatt Edison Academy , 4pm - 515pm.

Worship in the world with Holy Communion at Welton St. Café, 2736  Welton St Denver, 530pm

Good Friday Worship : Confluence Ministries 1400 Quitman St., Denver Colorado  7pm

Easter Festival Worship : 9am & 1030am Rock Canyon High School, Highlands Ranch CO

Prayers: For the Easter truth to be embraced by all, for Nolan,Claudia and Roger Larson’s nephew suffering from kidney and liver failure.

Worship song: Post the 9:11 tragedy Bruce Springsteen heard a voice from the Jersey shore holler at him, ”Bruce we need you now!”  Bruce went to work following the death of many dreams on September 11, 2001 and created what I think is his masterpiece album “The Rising.” The title hit is full of Easter imagery.

Let your broken dreams, come on up FOR THE RISING!

Still in One Peace,

Pastor David J. Jensen
