Be Kind to Yourself
The new school year is exciting but it's also a little anxiety-producing. Students everywhere wonder if the
teacher(s) will like them; will they fit in; will they make friends. It is a bit stressful to be alert and ready to learn, to be a sponge for knowledge and free to create and think.
I suspect that even for those of us who are not going back to school, these same fears creep up.
A good message for students, for our kids, for our grandkids, for us - is to be kind to ourselves. We are "fearfully and wonderfully made." (Psalm 139:13)
Watch this video together with your kids and with the people you love and take the words to heart.
We will be looking for you tomorrow at 9:00 or 10:30 a.m. as we remind one another that we are loved more than we can imagine. May you be kind to yourself as Jesus is kind to you.
Grace be with you,
Vikki
