I'd gladly lose me to find you
I'd gladly give up all I had
To find you I'd suffer anything and be glad

I'd pay any price just to get you
I'd work all my life and I will
To win you I'd stand naked, stoned and stabbed

I'd call that a bargain
The best I ever had

Getting rid of the “stuff” in my life, both the material accumulation that fills the basement, and the personal baggage I drag with me every day, is a chore that looms in front of me daily. Like a child that procrastinates, I am slow to do the things I should do and need to be more disciplined in my life. This “chore” of finding God in every moment of my life and living with Jesus, is a labor of love. As I let go of the things I never needed, it is a relief, a burden lifted. And the effort I put into letting go? A bargain, the best I ever had. I pray that I can continue to lose my life so I can find it, and enjoy the bargain of knowing Jesus.

Matthew 10:39 – Those who find their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it.
