Awe & Wonder

Sunday morning worship began with the beauty of awe and wonder in photos from Diane. The Glaciers of Alaska, not to mention climbing to the top, is truly AWESOME!

By Sunday afternoon, I was in awe of the sea of 76,000 Orange & Blue screaming fans!
I was in wonder as to whether I could survive three hours of 90 degrees in the direct sun (Gotta love those North stands)! Then awe and wonder joined together in the final 28 seconds for a Bronco interception to SAVE the Game!!

On a more (?) serious note...
Awe and Wonder
What do I see, look for, or actually react to with awe and wonder?
A beautiful view of the mountains, a gorgeous orange and blue sunset, and a beautiful white sandy beach?
These are God's Wonders!

"Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of Your deeds, they would be too many to declare."  Psalm 40:5

I need to seek God's Wonder in His Word. Throughout the Psalms,  are songs of praise for all God has done and continues to do in my life. The glorious work of God is everywhere!

I'm not expecting to see the 'parting of the sea' or ocean, or God speaking to me from a 'burning bush'. Nor am I planning on 'walking on water' anytime soon.  But I want to have in my heart the wonder shared by the Shepherds of their vision of the angel and bright star in Bethlehem at our Dear Savior's birth!

Psalm 68:34-35 tells us; " Tell everyone about God's power. His majesty shines down on Israel; His strength is mighty in the heavens. God is awesome in His sanctuary. The God of Israel gives power and strength to His people. Praise be to God!"
