The Beginning of the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I look forward to Christmas more than any other time of the year. I am the person who listens to Christmas music starting in mid-September. Suspense and anticipation surround this time of year. Family gathering, finishing school, some vacation from work, receiving and giving presents. In the modern anticipations let us not forget what anticipation was being built before the reason for the season, the birth of Christ.

The people who are now living in darkness will see a great light. They are now living in a very dark land. But a light will shine on them. -Isaiah 9: 2

Christ provides light to our world. Let us remember going into this season that the anticipation of Christ’s love is what was anticipated for thousands of years. Try in the coming weeks to celebrate this by being an example of the lessons He taught to honor the original anticipation leading to Christ's birth.

Yea, Lord, we greet thee, born this happy morning!
