Anonymous Kindness

Have you ever been the recipient of a random act of kindness?                                      Have you ever delivered an anonymous act of kindness?

A few weeks ago in my usual hurried morning of transporting my little bundle of joy(dear grandson), calming the crisis of my adult daughter on the phone, as well as reviewing a Bible Story that I was teaching in an hour at BSF...I slipped into the way toooooo long line at Starbucks drive through. I immediately realized that it was probably a really poor choice on my part.

After what seemed an eternity I pulled up to the window to be blessed with the kindness of the driver ahead of me who paid for my morning treat. It melted my heart!

Over the years I have been fortunate to help others in a time of need which is such a blessing.

Remembering the simple goodness of this act of kindness brings to mind Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:1-4. Giving is not about me or my generosity, but because of what my generous God has so lavishly given me (2 Corinthians 9:6-11). As we give quietly and generously, we reflect who He is—and God receives the thanksgiving only He deserves.

Have a Blessed day, a gift from God!
