A Place For Me

Isaiah 54:1-17

Isaiah 54:1-4 “Sing, O barren one who did not bear;
burst into song and shout,
you who have not been in labor!
For the children of the desolate woman will be more
than the children of her that is married, says the Lord.
Enlarge the site of your tent,
and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out;
do not hold back; lengthen your cords
and strengthen your stakes.
For you will spread out to the right and to the left,
and your descendants will possess the nations
and will settle the desolate towns.
Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed;
do not be discouraged, for you will not suffer disgrace;
for you will forget the shame of your youth,
and the disgrace of your widowhood you will remember no more.”

To not belong. To feel separate from. To be lonely is something we all feel on occasion. When I have felt that it narrows down my world. Everything closes in on me.

In this world we may fear the violence of chaos, mass shootings, senseless pain. We ask ourselves where is GOD?

Isaiah is telling us GOD won’t abandon us. GOD doesn’t abandon us. We are part of a family. We are loved. We, you and I, are a wonderful, loving, precious child of GOD.

Isaiah 54:14 “In righteousness you shall be established; Tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; and it will not come near you.”

To not belong. To feel separate from. To be lonely is something we all feel on occasion. When I have felt that it narrows down my world. Everything closes in on me.

Jesus says in John 14:1-4 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe[a] in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?[b]And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way to the place where I am going.”

There are times we will feel unloved, alone, isolated. But, it is the way we feel it is not our destiny. Our, yours and mine, destiny is with our GOD. Our father has a place for you and I !

Precious Father, Loving GOD, Holy Spirit I pray for strength when I feel alone, the strength and knowledge to know that you are with me, in me, and surround me. Help me to know that “In my Father’s house, there’s a place for me!” AMEN!

I've been using WordPress on a number of websites for about a year and
am concerned about switching to another platform. I have heard good things about blogengine.net.
Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress content into it?
Any kind of help would be really appreciated!
