A Good Day

It's November, the month highlighted by thanks. If you're a "facebooker," you probably have at least a couple of friends that are participating in '30 days of thanks' postings. It's fun to read what folks are thankful for, some serious and some not so serious, but nevertheless important to the writer. I believe we all know how beneficial it is to show, as well as document our gratitude. Maybe journaling is your thing...if you start with what you're grateful for, the rest is put into a better perspective for sure. Or maybe you discuss your thankfulness in daily talks with God.

Sometime in the past few years I discovered a website called gratefulness.org, maybe from Vikki? I am certainly thankful for that discovery :) I receive a "Word of the Day" email from them every morning, with an insightful or thought provoking quote. I look forward to opening that daily email more than anything, other than a real note from a friend of course. Below is a video from their website,  entitled A Good Day featuring Brother David Steindl-Rast, a highly-respected Benedictine monk, author and spiritual leader. I have watched this video many times, always hearing it as though for the first time. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do, and know that I am grateful not only for this day, but for each of you!
