Don’t Over Analyze, Just Be

Psalm 121 vs: 1-8

1 “I look up to the mountains, does my help come from there? 2My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth! 3 He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. 4 Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. 5The lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. 6The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. 7The Lord keeps you from harm and watches over your life. 8 The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.”

This Psalm is filled with little gems of wisdom, comfort and hope. We are assured God surrounds us with his protection both day and night.  Thank you Father, for being the eye in the hurricane that often is our life.

A few thoughts on Psalm 121.

“While you are resting, your Heavenly Father will continue to count the hairs on your head. He will continue to rotate the earth, clothe the lilies, keep hearts beating and lungs filled with air. While you are resting, he will continue to fight your unseen battles and answer your prayers. He will continue to create ideas you never could of imagined and solutions you wouldn’t have dreamed of.”

Father God,

Teach me to rest in you. To come to that place in silence, knowing where my God can be found. Father, you are with me in the silence of my soul. Remind me tp take you with me wherever I go.

Amen
